President Plevneliev Talks Over the Phone with Iranian Counterpart

Sofia, January 20 (BTA) - President Rosen Plevneliev congratulated Iranian President Hasan Fereidun Ruhani in connection with the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action  on the nuclear program of Iran, announced on January 16, 2016, Plevneliev's Press Secretariat said. Plevneliev talked over the phone with Ruhani on Wednesday.

The lifting of the international and unilateral sanctions against Iran, related to the Iranian nuclear programme, opens possibilities for the promotion of cooperation between the international community and Iran. Plevneliev and Ruhani also discussed the prospects for the development of Bulgarian-Iranian relations, particularly in the trade and economic sphere.
