Mountain hiking conditions are good on Wednesday, the Mountain Rescue Service (MRS) of the Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC) told BTA.

Temperatures range between minus 5C and minus 11C. Light wind is blowing in the high parts. There is fog. There are light snow showers.

Lift facilities in the resorts are open. Hikers should take into account the avalanche situation and not enter avalanche danger areas, and skiers should ski on the slopes, the MRS advised.

There have been no recorded incidents involving tourists in the last 24 hours. 

The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology informed that cloudy weather would persist in the mountains, with light snow showers in places. Moderate west-southwesterly wind will blow. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 metres will be around minus 4C, at 2,000 metres - around minus 7C.
