Bulgaria welcomed the news of the agreement between Israel and Hamas on a ceasefire and a hostage release deal, commending the tireless efforts of Egypt, Qatar, and the United States, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a post on its profile on the social network X on Wednesday.

“We hope this long-awaited deal will halt the fighting in Gaza, create the necessary conditions for much-needed humanitarian aid to Palestinian civilians, and ensure the return of hostages to their loved ones,” the Foreign Ministry said in the statement.

The Foreign Ministry added, “We believe this will finally pave the way for building lasting peace and security across the region.”
