site.btaAccessibility Statement
The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) undertakes to ensure accessibility of this website to a maximum broad range of users regardless of the technologies and skills used. We work actively to improve the accessibility and usability of this website and in doing so we adhere to the available standards and good practices.
In order to comply with the defined requirements and criteria for accessibility level and, at the same time, meet the requirements of current internet technologies, we will be adhering to the WCAG 2.0 standards.
Web Accessibility Initiative
This website will endeavour to achieve a level of accessibility up to the latest standards of the World Wide Web Consortium: Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (WCAG 2.0), employing the best practices and techniques.
WCAG 2.0 explains how website content can be made more accessible to people with disabilities. Following these guidelines will enable more people to feel comfortable and avail themselves of the advantages of the internet.
This website has been built using a code compliant with World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) standards for Extensible HyperText Markup Language (XHTML) and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). This code displays correctly in the currently available web browsers and its use ensures compatibility with future new or enhanced browsers, too.
Exceptions
While we strive to ensure compatibility with the available accessibility standards, this is not always possible in every respect. Browsers and internet design and access techniques develop very fast, and some standard accessibility requirements occasionally become redundant.
In this light, we are steadily upgrading this website in technological terms with a view to attaining high accessibility and content usability standards.
Since maintaining accessibility is a continuous task, if you encounter any difficulties with the content we publish, please contact us and describe the problem. This will help us to keep improving and maintaining the accessibility of the website.
