Designation of  Medical Expert Commissions Certifying Disabled People Will Be Changed - Minister


Sofia, January 26 (BTA) - The designation of the medical expert commissions in charge of issuing certificates to people with disabilities will be changed, Health Minister Peter Moskov said at roundtable talks on the broadening of the possibilities for employment of disabled persons, organized by the Association of Industrial Capital in Bulgaria and the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria. Moskov presented the main changes that are to be carried out in the expert assessment of the disabled. It will include only assessment of the type and level of disability.

The new commission will include physicians of different specialities depending on the type of the disease that has to be assessed. This will be physicians, working in the hospitals of the respective settlement, who should possess certain expertise and knowledge in the relevant field.
