Interior Minister: Lv 12 Mln to Be Allocated for Bulgarian EU Presidency's Security
Sofia, June 28 (BTA) - Twelve million leva will be allocated for the security of the Bulgarian EU Presidency, said here on Wednesday Interior Minister Valentin Radev, adding that the sum is designated for hosting the Presidency. Some 9.5 million leva will go to the Interior Ministry and its services, another 500,000 leva will be for the State Agency for National Security, while Sofia Municipality will get the remaining 2,000,000 leva.
The Government has adopted a decree about the funds for security at the airport, the routes, the NDK Convention Center, the Boyana Residence and hotels. The Minister explained that the public procurements for security systems should be announced by mid-July. A month before the start of the EU Presidency, the security systems should be ready and the personnel which will work with them should be already trained, Radev explained.
