Speaking to journalists in the hallways of Parliament on Wednesday, GERB leader Boyko Borissov said that everything is being done to hamper Bulgaria’s entry in the euro area.
He announced that he would not help Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov secure a majority in the National Assembly, after the recent reshuffle of seats that left the ruling majority with 121 MPs, the bare minimum to pass laws. “We have a Prime Minister who must come [to Parliament] and find a majority,” Borissov added.
He said that he would be patient until July when the convergence report on Bulgaria is expected.
