site.bta Bulgaria, UNICEF Continue Cooperation for Safeguarding All Children's Rights

The Cabinet Wednesday extended until June 30, 2025 the Action Plan 2023-2024 to the UNICEF Country Programme 2023-2027. This was done in view of UNICEF's planned mid-term review of programme implementation in Bulgaria.

The analysis will be conducted in dialogue with national partners and with the support of the organization's Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia. The need for changes in the priority programme areas and/or the inclusion of new initiatives in the future will also be discussed. Based on the review, a new two-year action plan will be prepared.

Its implementation aims to support Bulgaria's efforts to ensure the rights and well-being of all children, including those in disadvantaged and vulnerable situations, so that they can develop their full potential.
