The National Museum of History (NMH) is hosting an exhibition titled "Sea, Brush, and Chisel: A Modern Artists' Perspective" which the Museum's Director, Assoc. Prof. Bony Petrunova, will open on March 18, the organizers said on Monday.

The exhibition will offer a platform for cultural dialogue between the past and the present through visual art aesthetics. "The NMH is pleased to present works by contemporary Bulgarian and foreign artists from Syria, Georgia, Turkey, Azerbaijan and other countries. Inspired by the beauty and symbolism of the sea, these works were created during annual plein air workshops at the Rusalka Resort. The exhibits cover a wide range of topics, from history and mythology to intimate human stories," the organizers explained.

Twenty-seven works selected from the Rusalka collection, created over the last two decades, will be on display. "These works showcase a rich diversity of styles and techniques, combining magical seascapes, abstract forms, and surrealistic elements. The focus is on the interaction between humanity and the sea, revealing hidden messages from history, nature, and art," the NMH team said.
