BTA Director General Kiril Valchev and Gotse Delchev Mayor Vladimir Moskov signed a contract for the lease of premises for the agency's National Press Club here on Monday.
Moskov expressed satisfaction with the upcoming opening of the press club, emphasizing its importance for the local community. "It is an honor for us to welcome BTA to Gotse Delchev. This is an important event not only for the town, but also for the entire region. The information that will reach citizens through this press club will be key to their awareness of both national and international events,” he said. Moskov pointed out the symbolic significance of the fact that BTA will open its 33rd press club in Gotse Delchev, as it is the same number as the age of Christ.
Valchev said that the decision of the Gotse Delchev Municipal Council to provide premises for the press club is a clear sign of unity. "This shows that when Bulgarians make unanimous decisions, they can live with one mind and act as one, just as Saint John of Rila, the patron saint of our people, bequeathed to us," Valchev stressed.
After signing the contract, Valchev and Moskov exchanged gifts and wished the press club successful work. Its official opening is planned for May 11, the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius.
