In January 2025, the construction production index increased by 1.6% compared to the previous month, according to preliminary and seasonally adjusted data from the National Statistical Institute (NSI), released on Monday. Calendar-adjusted data show a 7.6% rise in construction output compared to the same month in 2024.

NSI data shows that in January 2024, the sector's production index grew by 1% on a monthly basis and by 0.7%, year-on-year.

In January 2025, compared to the previous month, an increase was recorded in infrastructure construction output by 2%, building construction output by 1.8%, and specialized construction activities by 1%.

Compared to January 2024, infrastructure construction rose by 9.3%, specialized construction activities by 9%, and building construction output by 5.2%.
