NATO Assistant Secretary General for Executive Management Carlo Borghini will pay a two-day official visit to Bulgaria on March 11 and 12, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry said in a press release on Monday.

In Sofia, Borghini, who is also responsible for human resources at NATO, will meet with Bulgarian institutions and participate in events and forums, where he will present opportunities for work at NATO, specific guidelines on the recruitment process, upcoming internship programmes for students and young people, as well as the NATO Talent Diversity Programme.

On March 11, the Borghini will deliver a lecture titled "Career Development Opportunities at NATO" to diplomats, state administration experts, and partner organizations. The event is organized by the Diplomatic Institute to the Foreign Minister.

At an event organized by the Foreign Ministry in partnership with the Big Data for Smart Society Institute (GATE) at St. Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia, Borghini will give a public lecture for young professionals, students, and innovators, where he will present opportunities for experts from various fields to work and intern at NATO. He will also have the chance to get acquainted with current projects by young Bulgarian scientists in the fields of human resources and the implementation of artificial intelligence, the Foreign Ministry’s press release further said.
