Four candidates have been nominated for membership in the Communications Regulation Commission (CRC), including one candidate for deputy chair, the National Assembly announced on its website on Monday. The legislature will elect the CRC’s deputy chair and two members separately.

The GERB-UDF parliamentary group nominated Kristina Georgieva Andonova-Hitrova for deputy chair. Her nomination highlights her work on developing and coordinating measures within the National Strategy for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises. Since 2009, she has served in the Council of Ministers administration, specifically in the Directorate for Coordination of EU and International Financial Institutions Affairs.

The BSP-United Left parliamentary group proposed Petar Vasilev Mutafchiev for membership in the CRC. It was noted that he was first elected to the 38th National Assembly in 1997 and subsequently served as an MP in the next four parliaments. In 2005, he was a Transport Minister in Sergey Stanishev’s government.

Democracy, Rights and Freedoms-Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DRF-MRF)'s parliamentary group put forward Rushen Mehmed Riza, an economist with a master’s degree in business administration. It was noted that he has held key roles in both the public and private sectors.

There Is Such a People (TISP)’s parliamentary group named Neycho Ivanov Velichkov as their nominee. The nomination says he was one of the most experienced professional managers in the telecommunications field, with more than 25 years of experience across three continents.

Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB)’s parliamentary group put forward lawyer Zhulieta Nikolaeva Mandazhieva. Mandazhieva's nomination says she has expertise in the legal regulation of electronic communications, digital technologies and services, electronic identification, data, and artificial intelligence.
