Bulgaria pays BGN 1.5 million for its presence in the big platforms to advertise its tourism, Tourism Minister Evtim Miloshev said during his hearing in the parliamentary committee on tourism. He said that the decision was made before him and he appreciated it. He also said that the money Bulgaria spends for that will likely increase because it is the right thing to do against the backdrop of the trends and digitization of the tourism market.
The Minister said that as of July 23, Bulgaria is advertising via Google and YouTube on 15 markets: Romania, Serbia, the Republic of North Macedonia, the UK, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, France, Spain, Italy, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Azerbaijan. A four-month online campaign was launched in early June in four priority markets: the UK, Germany, Poland and Italy.
He argued that digital advertising should be a priority for this country.
