site.btaOver 170 Social Enterprises in Bulgaria Employ More Than 1,600 People from Vulnerable Groups
More than 1,660 people from vulnerable groups are employed in over 170 social enterprizes, which have been registered in the special register as part of a project implemented by the Social Ministry under the Recovery and Resilience Plan, said the press centre of the Labor and Social Policy Ministry on Friday.
Most of the employees in the registered social enterprises are people with permanent disabilities and young people under the age of 29, who have no previous professional experience.
The press centre also noted that the 13th European Forum of Social and Solidarity Economy Subjects will be opened on Monday, April 7, at the Inter Expo Center in Sofia. The forum will present good practices in ensuring employment for people from vulnerable groups and will be attended by Labor and Social Policy Minister Borislav Gutsanov. The forum will also present products and services created and provided by people from vulnerable groups working in social and labor-production enterprises.
The event is jointly organized by the Labor and Social Policy Ministry and the National Union of Labor-Production Cooperatives in Bulgaria.
