Eight Parties Would Enter Parliament If Elections Were Held Now - Gallup International Poll

Eight parties would enter Parliament if elections were held now, and GERB-UDF would be the number one political force in Parliament, according to a Gallup International poll released to the media on Wednesday. The nationally representative poll, conducted between March 19-30, 2025, is part of Gallup International Balkan's independent research programme and was self-financed. Data was collected with face-to-face interviews with tablets among 846 Bulgarian adults.

According to the poll data, GERB-UDF remains the most supported political force in the country with the 26.5% of respondents' votes. 

There is a shuffle in the battle for second place with Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) - New Beginning claiming it with 14.9% of the votes, while Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) standing at third with 14.3%. Vazrazhdane falls down to fourth with 11.4%.

Compared to February, BSP - United Left suffers a decrease in support  - from 8.2% to 6.1%. Alliance for Rights and Freedoms (ARF) gets 4.9%, There Is Such a People (TISP) 4.6%, Morality, Unity, Honour (MECh) 4.5%, and Velichie is below the 4% barrier with 3.6%. The remaining vote shares are spread among formations with declared support below one percent at this stage, the pollsters say.

President Rumen Radev has a slight decrease in approval from 47.9% in February to 45.5%; approval for Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov increases compared to February and stands at 21.1% and National Assembly Chair Nataliya Kiselova receives 22% approval. Vice President Iliana Iotova has the trust of 35% of respondents.

Among party leaders, Boyko Borissov holds the highest approval - 24.2%. TISP leader Slavi Trifonov received the approval of 17.5% of the respondents. MRF - New Beginning Floor Leader Delyan Peevski has the trust of 14.3%. Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov is trusted by 12% of poll participants, MECh leader Radostin Vasilev by 9.4%. Velichie leader Ivelin Mihaylov has the approval of 6.8%. Continue the Change Co-Chair Kiril Petkov enjoys the trust of 8.5% and the other Co-Chair of the party - Assen Vassilev - 7.8% of respondents. The chairman of Democrats for a Strong Bulgaria Atanas Atanassov has the approval of 6.5%. Bulgarian Socialist Party Chair Atanas Zafirov is supported by 8.1% of the respondents, and ARF leader Dzhevdet Chakarov by 4.8%.
