Cocaine worth BGN 5.4 million was found in a car at the Kalotina border checkpoint in the Bulgaria-Serbia border, said the Sofia Appellate Prosecution Office Friday. A 45-year-old man identified by his initials, P.D., has been charged with possessing narcotics.

The cocaine was found in 30 identical packs in a secret compartment in the car. The total weight of the narcotic was 30 kg.

It was found in a joint operation of an anti-mafia squad, Border Police and the Customs Agency, carried out on April 2.
