Bulgarian President Rumen Radev met with his counterpart of the Republic of North Macedonia, Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, here on Friday within the framework of the Aqaba Process.
Siljanovska-Davkova said that she had thanked the Bulgarian head of State for the help Bulgaria had given Skopje after the deadly fire in Kocani last month.
After a bilateral meeting with Radev, Siljanovska-Davkova told journalists, “We talked first of all about what I feel as a person, not as a president. I wanted to thank him once again, as Mr. Radev was the first president to call me the morning the tragedy happened, offering help of any kind.”
She added, without elaborating, that the two presidents had also talked “about our problem, which exists politically”. “We concluded that we should meet much more often, the ministers and the presidents, but most importantly you, journalists, and representatives of culture, university students, so that we can see that Bulgarian progress is our progress, that regional progress is ours as well," North Macedonia's President said.
She participated in the Aqaba Process for the Balkans III summit meeting on Friday, hosted by President Rumen Radev and King Abdullah II of Jordan.
