The importance of staying in close contact with the rapidly changing political agenda in recent years was emphasized during the recent meeting between US President Joe Biden and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Turkish pro-government daily Sabah reported Thursday.

Biden and Erdogan met during this week's NATO at the NATO Leaders Summit held in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania.

Biden's words are an important outcome of the talks between the two presidents, the daily notes. According to Sabah sources, President Biden said that the opportunity for such contact could be beneficial because the rapidly changing events on a global scale do not preclude the need of urgent communication at leadership level.

Erdogan said a new stage in Turkish-American relations is beginning and expressed a desire to further enhance dialogue.
