site.btaHealth Minister Ananiev Confers with Chairman of Health Committee in German Bundestag Rueddel

(BTA) - Health Minister Kiril Ananiev conferred with the Chairman of the Health Committee in the German Bundestag, Erwin Rueddel, Ananiev's Ministry said in a press release Thursday.

The two officials concurred that Bulgaria and Germany are faced with common challenges and problems in the area of providing fast and adequate medical aid to small and remote areas, in respect of which urgent measures need to be undertaken.

Ananiev familiarized the guest with the implementation of a major project for the modernization of emergency medical aid in this country.

Other topics discussed at the meeting were measures to address the shortage of staff in the system of health care, and opportunities for exchange of experience between medical professionals in the two countries. DT/ZH
