site.btaState Provides Free Transport for Ukrainian Students

The Government approved BGN 297,674 for the provision of free transportation to school for students with temporary protection from Ukraine. The funds will ensure their transportation from the places of accommodation to the educational institutions for the entire new school year, from September 16 to June 30, 2025.

The largest number of children and students are attending educational institutions in the regions of Burgas and Varna. The students are able to enroll in schools with available spots, resulting in some of the children attending educational institutions further away.

In order to guarantee their access to education, the Government decided on Tuesday to provide additional funds for the organization of transport to and from schools.

The financial assistance will be transferred from the budget of the Ministry of Education and Science and from the budget of five municipalities, including Nessebar, Pomorie, Varna, Aksakovo and Balchik.
