site.btaUEFA President Meets Bulgarian PM, Sports Minister
Caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev and caretaker Minister of Youth and Sports Georgi Glushkov held a meeting here with the President of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) Aleksander Ceferin and with the President of the Bulgarian Football Union Georgi Ivanov, the Council of Ministers press service reported on Monday. Ceferin is visiting Bulgaria on the occasion of an event entitled 100 Years of Bulgarian Football hosted in Sofia on Monday.
Glavchev said: "A century is a huge period of time in which the most popular sport in the world has created a history in our country that we as Bulgarians can only be proud of. Football gave birth to great players who left a deep mark on the football map. During all these decades Bulgaria has enjoyed great success while creating its glorious football history."
Glavchev praised Ceferin for his successful governing of UEFA. Ceferin expressed hope that Bulgarian football will improve and enjoy new successes. He added that he will work hard with the Bulgarian Football Union.
