site.btaGERB-UDF Will Make Every Effort to Form Government, GERB Leader Borissov Says in Dulovo

Conferring with party supporters in the town of Dulovo, Northeast Bulgaria, GERB leader Boyko Borissov said he guarantees that the GERB-UDF coalition will make every effort to form a government after the parliamentary elections. He said his political opponents have had enough time, but Bulgaria has lost four years of development.

"The only thing that is growing permanently is the foreign debt and the [budget] deficit – a deficit of [BGN] 18 billion and a hole in the budget. No matter how we fight this election, I always want you to know that those people are our political opponents, not our enemies. They are Bulgarians and we have to live with them afterwards," Borissov said, addressing the attendees of the meeting.

The leader of GERB was adamant that ethnic peace must be preserved and made an example of Yuksel Ahmed, second in GERB-UDF’s MP candidates’ list in Silistra, because while Ahmed served as a Dulovo mayor, the Muslims and Christians in the municipality lived in peace and harmony, Borissov noted.
