Asked to comment on the next convening of Parliament on Tuesday, President Rumen Radev Friday told journalists in Burgas that "unfortunately, what is likely to happen is that Parliament will be used for election campaigning".

"You remember that amid all the ridiculous changes in the Constitution that were made, there were also many who said that there is at least one positive thing and that is that the Parliament remains to work all the time and to exercise control over the executive. Parliament, we have seen, neither works nor exercises control. We have seen it in the case of the legitimate claims of the academic community. Neither is there control over the executive, nor will Parliament sit to update the budget to meet their legal demands," Radev said.

Radev was a special guest at the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the mathematical chemistry laboratory at Burgas University.
