site.btaCounterfeit Goods with Trademark Logos Seized in Varna

Counterfeit branded goods worth nearly BGN 1.8 million were seized from a warehouse in Varna, the police in the seaside city said on Thursday. 

The branded goods included clothes, hats, bags, purses, belts, shoes, slippers, socks, swimwear and perfumes. The people in the warehouse did not present documents about the origin of the goods and a 35-year-old man from Varna with a criminal record was detained for 24 hours as the organizer of the illegal activity. 

The police established that the commercial activity was carried out through a social network, and the buyers received their shipments with a courier company. During the raid, telephones, computers and printers were also seized from the warehouse. 

The established pre-trial proceedings in the case are under the supervision of the District Prosecutor's Office in the seaside city.
