The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) has issued a first-degree warning, code yellow, for hot weather on Thursday with maximum temperatures between 35C and 38C across the country. Astronomical summer begins at 11:50 pm on Thursday, June 20.

Mostly sunny on Thursday. Cumulus clouds to form over northern and mountainous areas in the afternoon. Light to moderate winds from the northeast. Highs will reach between 34C and 39C, with slightly lower temperatures along the Black Sea, around 34C in Sofia. 

For June 21, NIMH issues a first degree warning - yellow code, for hot weather with maximum temperatures of 35C-38C for most of the country.
