GERB, Patriotic Front and Reformist Bloc Discuss Nominating Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev as New Social Policy Minister

Sofia, May 12 (BTA) - GERB, the Patriotic Front (PF) and the Reformist Bloc (RB) are holding consultations in Parliament to discuss the possible nomination of Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev as the new social policy minister.

The former labour and social policy minister, Ivaylo Kalfin, resigned on Tuesday after his ABV party declared that they will withdraw from the Government.

Speaking to journalists in Parliament, GERB Floor Leader Tsvetan Tsvetanov said that Prime Minister Boyko Borissov has assigned him the task to conduct political consultations with the parties that make up the parliamentary majority, about how Donchev's possible nomination would be seen. According to Tsvetanov, the nomination was supported and now it is up to Borissov to propose him and for Donchev himself to agree. "To me it is important that we have political support from all parliamentary groups that form the majority," Tsvetanov noted.
