There is nothing better than the creation of a regular government that enjoys parliamentary support, and end the political crisis, caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev said Wednesday. He expressed his hope that with the first exploratory mandate being handed over a first step will be taken towards a regular government. 

"Governments should enjoy political support and those who support them should shoulder their responsibilities and undertake the tasks that the Bulgarian citizens set them", Glavchev added. 

According to him, with the formation of a majority for the government, the parliament as a legislative body will also work. "For two and a half months not a single bill has been passed in a second vote, we expect this to happen today", Glavchev said. "By achieving a majority, there will also be a majority for bills".

Glavchev stressed that Bulgaria's international path has been established over the years and the caretaker government has followed it. "The biggest proof of this is our full membership in Schengen, taking into account the merits of all those who have worked in this field over the years", Glavchev said, adding that Bulgaria's full accession to the Schengen area is a fact as of January 1, 2025. According to him, the benefits are many and especially the numerical value of more than BGN 1.5 billion, which will be included in the Bulgarian economy in various directions. Glavchev added that with Bulgarian accession to Schengen, the inconveniences for Bulgarian citizens at border crossings are no longer an issue. Dimitar Glavchev noted that on Tuesday the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works issued a visa for the design of the National Children's Hospital.
