Bulgaria Wins Silver Award at WorldMediaFestival/TOURISM in Hamburg

Hamburg/Sofia, May 15 (BTA) - Bulgaria won the Intermedia-Globe-Silver Award at the 17th WorldMediaFestival/Tourism in Hamburg with two image TV clips from the Hidden Before Your Eyes campaign, the Tourism Ministry said Sunday. The campaign was aimed at promoting domestic tourism in Bulgaria and was conducted between January and August 2015.

The festival is one of the biggest and most prestigious events for tourism advertising in the world, with the participation of countries from all around the globe. Bulgaria, which had not participated in the competition until now, competed with 50 states for the award.

The Hidden Before Your Eyes campaign advertised fifty little known heritage sites in Bulgaria and was funded under Operational Programme Regional Development 2007-2013.
