Sofia, May 26 (BTA) - European Parliament President Antonio Tajani has congratulated Prime Minister Boyko Borissov on the occasion of his coming in office, the Government information service said Friday.

Tajani is quoted as saying that Bulgarians have reconfirmed their confidence in GERB so that ut can continue Bulgaria's European development. This definitive election success goes beyond Bulgaria's boundaries, Tajani says.

He goes on to speak of the work that needs to be done so as to improve the EU because EU citizens need a Europe that is closer to them, guarantees their sovereignty and protects them.

The EP leader further says that the EU is faced with many challenges - creating new jobs, judicial reform, management of migration flows, fight with terrorism, and expresses confidence that common solutions to these problems will be found. PK/BR
