Atanaska Disheva, member of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC), expects the procedure for the election of Prosecutor General to be postponed. She expressed her opinion on Thursday before the meeting SJC Plenum, which is to hold a hearing with Borislav Sarafov, candidate for Prosecutor General, and vote on whether he will assume the post.

Asked what she expects to happen at Thursday's meeting, she said - "to discuss yesterday's amendments to the Judiciary Act and probably to postpone the procedure [for electing Prosecutor General]". Asked why it has come to this point to prohibit the election by law, Disheva said that this was a matter not up for discussion, at least not at this time.
