President Plevneliev Condoles over Macedonia Flood Victims

Sofia, August 4 (BTA) - President Rosen Plevneliev on Tuesday cabled condolences to his Macedonian counterpart Gjorge Ivanov over the victims of flash floods in Macedonia, his press secretariat said.

"It is with great sadness that I learned the news of the devastating floods near the town of Tetovo which have taken human life and caused significant damages. Bulgaria has also been hit by heavy disasters in recent years. I would like to offer our deepest condolences to the families of the victims. I believe that the rescue and recovery efforts will help overcome quickly the aftermath of the disaster," Plevneliev wrote.

According to Macedonian media, five people have died in the region of Tetovo.
