Fund for Treatment of  Children Director Arrested  for Corruption

Sofia, April 20 (BTA) - The Director of the Fund for Treatment of Children, Pavel Aleksandrov, has been arrested along with eight others as part of an investigation into corruption and financial fraud at the Fund, said the prosecuting magistracy. The arrests were made around noon on Wednesday right before the Fund's scheduled meeting, during which funds for the treatment of children were to be distributed.

The authorities are investigating officials from the Fund for their alleged involvement in bribery and malfeasance in office.
