site.btaPM Borissov Meets with EU's Chief Brexit Negotiator Barnier

Sofia, April 26 (BTA) - Prime Minister Boyko Borissov on Thursday met with Michel Barnier, the European Chief Negotiator for the United Kingdom Exiting the European Union, the government information service said.

Barnier briefed the Bulgarian Prime Minister on the progress of negotiations between Brussels and London. The two sides concurred that the process should guarantee the rights of the citizens and businesses.

The EU diplomat congratulated Prime Minister Borissov on the successful presidency of the Council of the European Union and expressed his well wishes for the EU-Western Balkans Summit due to take place in Sofia on May 17.
