site.btaLabour and Social Policy Minister Gutsanov Supports Easter Bonuses for Pensioners

Labour and Social Policy Minister Borislav Gutsanov argued that funds should be provided for the allocation of Easter bonuses to pensioners. He noted that this should be done step by step, after the 2025 State Budget is adopted and the tax collection rate taken into account. 

Gutsanov said that talks are already underway in the coalition on the topic, including with Denitsa Sacheva, who chairs the parliamentary Labour and Social Policy Committee  However, Gutsanov did not comment on whether there could be bonuses for all pensioners or only for the most vulnerable.

Minister Gutsanov and representatives of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy visited the St. John of Rila Centre for Social Rehabilitation and Integration in the village of Gorna Malina on Tuesday. The centre supports children from 1 to 18 years old. The visit is on the occasion of World Social Work Day, which is celebrated on March 18.
