site.btaBlood Donation Campaign Launched at Military Medical Academy to Support Those Injured in Kocani Nightclub Fire

A blood donation campaign has been launched at the Military Medical Academy (MMA) to support those injured in a nightclub fire in Kocani, the Republic of North Macedonia, the MMA said on Facebook on Tuesday.

The hospital supports a campaign launched by the Bulgarian Red Cross, the Pirogov Hospital and the National Center for Transfusion Hematology on Monday to help with the medical treatment of the fire victims, the press release added.

Blood donations can be made at the MMA from Monday to Sunday, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The fire that broke out during a concert in Kocani in the early hours of March 16 killed 59 people and injured more than 150. Fourteen of the injured were transported to Bulgaria for treatment.
