Parliament Hosts Exhibition to Raise Funds for Children with Leukemia

An exhibition at the National Assembly will raise funds for the Rehabilitation Centre for Children with Oncohematologic Diseases in Kostinbrod Municipality, Sofia Region. It was opened by National Assembly Chair Nataliya Kiselova on Wednesday.

The display has been organized on the initiative of the Dimitry Panitza Bulgarian School of Politics under the motto "Art Heals Golden Children." It presents works by students of the Department of Art Teachers' Studies at the University of Shumen.

Nikolay Denkov, Deputy Floor Leader of Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria, said there is a light at the end of the tunnel with regard to oncohematologic disease treatment thanks to advancements in medical science in recent years. This is one of the domains where progress is rapid, Denkov said.

He noted that International Childhood Cancer Day is observed on February 15.
