Government Proposes to Parliament to Ratify Two Defence Agreements

The government is proposing to Parliament the ratification of two defence agreements, the government press service said here Wednesday.

The Council of Ministers adopted a decision approving a proposal to the National Assembly to ratify a technical agreement on the establishment of an interim framework for the provision of host nation support to the Allied Reaction Force (ARF) between the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) and Albania, Belgium, Canada, the Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Estonia, Finland, France, the United Kingdom, Greece, Croatia, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, Latvia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Turkiye, the USA, on the establishment of an interim framework for the provision of support as a host nation to the ARF. 

Thus, Bulgaria agrees to provide support as host country to the Allied Response Force.

The Council of Ministers adopted another decision approving the letters of amendment to the Annex to the Agreement between Bulgaria and the Supreme Headquarters of the United Forces in Europe and the Headquarters of the Supreme Allied Commander Transformation to supplement the Paris Protocol (the Supplementary Agreement), signed by Bulgaria on 20.06.2024, by the Supreme Allied Commander Europe on 28.10.2024 and by the Headquarters of the Supreme Allied Commander Transformation on 09.09.2024, and proposes that the National Assembly ratify them by law.
