Eight parties would enter Parliament if the elections were on Sunday and GERB-UDF would be the first political force in Parliament, according to a Gallup International Balkan poll released to the media on Wednesday.
The nationally representative poll, conducted between February 13-20, 2025, is part of Gallup International Balkan's independent research programme and was self-financed. Data was collected with face-to-face interviews with tablets among 841 Bulgarian adults.
According to the poll data, GERB has increased its lead over the other political forces in the 51st National Assembly and is supported by 26.5% of voters.
For the moment, there is no clear frontrunner for the second place: with a marginal difference between each other are Vazrazhdane with 12,6% and Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) - New Beginning with 12,5%, and Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) has 11,8%.
BSP - United Left shows a slight increase from last month from 7.4% to 8.2%. Alliance for Rights and Freedoms (ARF) gets 5.9%, There Is Such a People (TISP) 5.2%, Morality, Unity, Honour (MECh) 4.7%, and Velichie is below the 4% barrier with 3.8%. The remaining vote shares are spread among formations with declared support below one percent at this stage, the pollsters say.
President Rumen Radev had a slight decrease in approval in February to 47.9%; approval for Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov increased compared to January and was 20.2% and National Assembly Chair Nataliya Kiselova received 23.8% approval. Vice President Iliana Iotova has the trust of 35% of respondents, while former caretaker prime minister and Dimitar Glavchev has the approval of 9.7%.
Among party leaders, Boyko Borissov holds the highest approval - 24.8%.
Continue the Change co-leader Kiril Petkov enjoys the trust of 8.5% and the other co-chair of the party - Assen Vassilev - 7.9% of respondents.
The chairman of Democrats for a Strong Bulgaria Atanas Atanassov has the approval of 6.3%.
Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov is trusted by 15.2% of poll participants.
MRF - New Beginning leader Delyan Peevski has the trust of 12,6%.
BSP leader Atanas Zafirov is supported by 7.9% of the respondents, and ARF leader Dzhevdet Chakarov by 5.6%.
TISP leader Slavi Trifonov received the approval of 13.9% of the respondents, and MECh leader Radostin Vassilev of 9.4%.Velichie leader Ivelin Mihaylov has the approval of 6.4%.
