A 41-year-old British national has been charged with causing minor bodily injury to a security guard in the Borovets ski resort from hooligan motives, the Samokov Regional Prosecution Office reported on Monday.

On Sunday morning, the Briton, in a drunken state, entered the starting station of a lift in Borovets and landed punches to the guard's mouth while the guard was in the line of duty. As a result, the guard had two teeth dislodged.

The incident was reported to the police. Police officers arrived at the site and arrested the Briton. The authorities launched fast-track proceedings on the case.
