Bulgaria’s Foreign Minister Georg Georgiev took part in the 13th meeting of the EU-Israel Association Council in Brussels on Monday, according to the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry’s press service.

Georgiev praised the European Union’s strategic dialogue with the State of Israel. "Israel is a key partner for the EU in the Middle East. The association agreement is one of the cornerstones of our cooperation across all areas of mutual interest," Georgiev said during his address.

The EU-Israel Association Council discussed the situation in the Middle East, the conflict in Gaza, and the cooperation between the EU and Israel on global issues, with a particular focus on the war in Ukraine, the press release added.
