The annual inflation rate in Bulgaria in January 2025 was 3.8%, the eighth-highest rate in the European Union, according to the latest Eurostat data released on Monday. The inflation rates are measured by the Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices.

European Union annual inflation was 2.8% in January 2025, up from 2.7% in December 2024. The highest annual rates were recorded in Hungary (5.7%), Romania (5.3%) and Croatia (5.0%).

The euro area annual inflation rate was 2.5% in January 2025, up from 2.4% in December 2024.
