"Our European list is a combination of youth and experience. Their competence, education, training and language skills are impressive. I have no doubt that they will defend Bulgaria in the EU with dignity. I want to congratulate them and wish them to have character, because we need Bulgarians with character in Europe, who will put the Bulgarian interest above everything," Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) leader Korneliya Ninova said here on Wednesday while presenting BSP for Bulgaria's candidates for the upcoming European Parliament elections.

"Today some of our political opponents have appropriated the ethics of Euro-Atlanticism. In fact, with their actions and decisions, they are the biggest anti-Europeans possible. They are destroying the credibility of the EU by what they are doing. Their obedience to foreign will increases euroscepticism in the Bulgarian people," Ninova said.

In her words, 99% of Bulgarian politics is tied to what is happening in the European Union and it is a mistake to separate the two.

According to her, the BSP has two merits over other parties and candidates.

"We have proved in government that everything we promise - we deliver". The other advantage, in Ninova's words, is that the BSP, whatever it has been subjected to, has not betrayed itself, has not backed down from its principles and ideology and has not lied to its voters.
