site.btaAlbena Resort Attends International Tourism Exhibition in Izmir

Albena, one of Bulgaria's most famous resorts, which this year celebrated 55 years since its foundation, is participating with a stand-alone booth in the representative international tourism and congress exhibition, which opens Thursday in the Turkish Aegean city of Izmir. Albena is the first Bulgarian resort to take part in this exhibition, which is being organized for the 18th time. 

The aim of the participation is to present Albena not only as a famous Black Sea resort, but also to attract attention as a year-round destination for family holidays, for spa treatment, for spa tourism, as well as for sports as a winner of the title of European Resort of Sport. The Albena resort is also presenting its strategy for circular economy and its "green mission", and showcasing its opportunities for congress tourism, the organizers told BTA.

The Izmir exhibition is considered by industry professionals to be the largest tourism exchange and project exchange platform after the EMITT exhibition in Istanbul. It is organized under the auspices of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Association of Turkish Tour Operators.

The exhibition includes panels, talks and exchange of best practices between tourism industry professionals, tour operators, and tourist resorts from Turkiye and different countries. The forum is attended by tour operators, airlines, hotel chains, companies from Bulgaria, Greece, the Far East, sports companies, etc. 

The exhibition will last until December 7. 

Izmir is Turkiye's third most populous and economically developed city. It is second only to Istanbul in cruise tourism development.
