Defence Ministry Receives BGN 348 Mln under Two Agreements with Denmark

The Defence Ministry budget was augmented with BGN 348 million at the end of January. The money was not envisioned in the monthly spending plan for the ministry, Finance Minister Temenuzhka Petkova told a briefing at the Council of Ministers on Wednesday, which also involved Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov.

The money was received in December 2024 under two agreements with Denmark. It will be used for upgrades and maintenance in the Bulgarian Armed Forces, Defence Minister Atanas Zapryanov said.

According to Finance Minister Petkova, the sum has improved the balance of the state budget and the consolidated fiscal programme.
