site.btaEnvironment Minister Discusses Investment Opportunities With Ambassador of Saudi Arabia

Environment and Water Minister Manol Genov met with the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Bulgaria Rami bin Saud Al-Otaibi on Wednesday to discuss investment opportunities in both Saudi Arabia and Bulgaria and exchange views on the priority policies for each country in the field of environment, water and climate.

Genov noted the applicable national legislation in case of investment intentions and pointed out policies in which Bulgaria has know-how, such as water management and ecosystem and biodiversity protection, maintenance and restoration. Al-Otaibi presented two programmes of his country, namely Green Initiative and Vision 2030, which will lead to the reduction of carbon emissions and the planting of 450 million new trees by 2030.

Both sides also emphasised the opportunity to organise an experience exchange event with the participation of various stakeholders from both countries, which would have tangible added value for the sustainable development of bilateral relations in the future.
