Turkiye reported an annual inflation rate of 42.01% in January, the Turkish Statistical Institute (Turkstat) said on Monday.

Inflation in December was 44.38%.

In January, the increase in consumer prices was 5.03% compared to the previous month.

Inflation in January was highest in the education sector, property and rental prices, and healthcare, while the lowest increase was recorded in transportation prices.

Annual inflation in Turkiye decreased in January for a second month in a row.
