site.btaGovernment Approves Funding for Outstanding Current and Capital Expenses of State Cultural Institutions in Performing Arts
The government has allocated a total of BGN 15 million for 2025 to support the central administration of the Ministry of Culture and state cultural institutions involved in performing arts.
Of this amount, BGN 5.6 million is earmarked for state cultural institutions in the field of performing arts, while the remaining BGN 9.4 million will go to the central administration. This funding will cover obligations related to contracts for creative projects, archaeological research, and measures for the conservation and restoration of cultural heritage.
The additional funding will ensure financial stability in the sector. These funds will enable the maintenance and development of a wide range of cultural initiatives, including the preparation and implementation of exhibitions, as well as the preservation of movable cultural heritage through updated permanent collections and temporary exhibitions in museums.
The allocated funds are expected to have a positive impact on the sustainability of creative and research projects, including archaeological studies and activities related to the conservation and restoration of cultural assets, in line with the Cultural Heritage Act. This will provide an opportunity for a more comprehensive preservation and presentation of the richness of Bulgaria's cultural heritage to the general public.
