The Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA) and Customs Agency in coordination with Traffic Police will increase their control on traffic as a form of consistent preventative effort, said Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov at the beginning of the government meeting on Wednesday.

Zhelyazkov explained that this is necessary because of Bulgaria's membership in Schengen, which implies an increase in traffic, goods and people. "We are monitoring traffic on the main roads, which carry a potential danger for traffic participants," said the Prime Minister.
