EIB Representation in Sofia Head Radonov: EIB Is One of Biggest Lenders for Climate Change Measures

The European Investment Bank (EIB) supports the Green Pack; it is one of the biggest lenders for measures regarding climate change and sustainability, and plays an ever bigger role as an investor in this field, said Teodor Radonov, head of the EIB representation in Bulgaria. He was speaking at a Sofia forum titled "Bulgaria Business Summit 2025: The Challenges Facing Bulgaria", which is part of the Economist Impact series of events held by The Economist.

Radonov gave an overview of the position and actions taken by the EIB in support of sustainable and green policies, under which the EIB has made three commitments as an institution and to which the Bank adheres.

Europe is the fastest warming continent in the world and the incentive for policies and measures to limit temperature rise is the greatest, Radonov added.
